The Team plan turns CMass from a solo tool into a shared workspace. Everyone on the team works from the same contact pool — and the same relationship history behind it — so two reps never cold-email the same prospect, and an unsubscribe from anyone protects the whole team. This guide covers setting up a team as the owner and joining one as an invited member.
What you get on Team
- ▸Up to 5 seats (you plus 4 teammates)
- ▸A shared contact pool — one source of truth instead of separate lists
- ▸Shared relationship history, scores, and campaign touchpoints across every seat
- ▸Team-wide unsubscribe and bounce suppression
- ▸A team analytics dashboard that rolls up every member's campaigns
- ▸2,000 emails per day
Step 1: Upgrade to the Team plan
From the CMass panel or the pricing page, choose Start Team and complete the secure checkout. The moment your payment goes through, your account becomes the team owner and a Team section appears in the CMass popup — there are no codes or keys to copy anywhere.
Step 2: Open the Team section
Click the CMass icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup. You'll see a 'Your Team' card showing your team name, a seat counter (for example, '1 of 5 seats'), and the list of current members. As the owner, you also get an invite box.
Step 3: Invite your teammates
- 1In the Team card, type a teammate's email address into the invite box.
- 2Click Invite. They appear immediately as a 'pending' invite, and the seat counter ticks up.
- 3CMass emails them a join link. Pending invites count toward your 5 seats, so you can't over-invite.
Step 4 (for the invited teammate): Accept the invite
If you've been invited, you'll get an email with a join link and a code. Here's how to join:
- 1Install CMass and sign in with the Google account the invite was sent to.
- 2Open the invite email and copy the join code (the link also shows it on a page you can copy from).
- 3Open the CMass popup, find the Team section, paste the code into the 'Join' box, and click Join.
The moment you join, your account switches to the Team plan and your contacts fold into the shared pool — no extra charge, nothing to reconfigure.
Working as a team
Once your team is set up, the shared pool is automatic. When you look up a contact in the Gmail sidebar, you'll see touchpoints from any teammate's campaigns, not just your own. The team analytics dashboard shows everyone's campaign results in one place, attributed to whoever sent them. And because suppression is team-wide, if a prospect unsubscribes from anyone's campaign, no one on the team will email them again.
Leaving or dissolving a team
A member can leave the team anytime from the Team section — they revert to a solo account, and the contacts they personally contributed come back with them. The owner can't 'leave' a team they own; cancelling the Team subscription dissolves the team and returns every member to their own account with their data intact.
